Déchiré

Déchiré image
Photograph detail from Déchiré, 2019.

The word Déchiré, the name of the publication this photograph comes from, roughly translates to torn or ripped. Designed by my friend Sarah Boris, it features photography by Gary Cohen that uncovers and juxtaposes multiple layers of meaning along with a poem in French and English by Adélaide Pralon.

It’s a beautiful piece of work. Screenprinted in 4-color process; between the texture of the paper and the dense layers of ink, it’s a delight for your fingers — and your eyes.

Available from Mörel Books, London in a limited edition of 300.
