Halftone Tubes

Aside from more work setting up the ‘ol studio space for the Riso, I’ve recently begun creating a Riso sample and swatch book, a rite of passage for Riso owners. But equally it’s been a good excuse to try different things and see how the machine responds.

Today’s experiment was a 4-color process image (Aqua, Bright Red, Sunflower, Black), separated using a custom profile from Color Library and then adjusted manually Those changes were necessary because the profile I used was made for Fluorescent Pink and Yellow rather than Bright Red and Sunflower. They were really a guess based on past experience, but I’m quite pleased with the results — especially for a first attempt.
