The design world lost a legend last Friday with the passing of Milton Glaser. I’ve long admired Milton’s incredible body of work and appreciated the generosity and thoughtfulness that comes through in his contributions to the world of design as a speaker and educator — including projects for my extended family. I feel incredibly fortunate to have had the pleasure to meet the man on a couple occasions while in NY visiting my friend Mirko Ilic whose studio was in the same building — an iconic location in its own right.
Along with the identity for the McLuhan Estate in honor of Marshall’s centenary in 2011, he designed Corinne McLuhan’s brass grave marker which sits side by side with Marshall’s just north of Toronto.
Rest in peace Milton.
