Notable Type Releases

  • Mint Book, the sturdy no-nonsense sans-serif has graduated to 1.0 status on Future Fonts. The bowl on the lowercase a and ear on the lowercase g: perfect little details.
  • I could imagine At Amiga as branding on a vintage Walkman or as the title treatment of an ’80s cyberpunk sci-fi action film. Just legible enough but probably best used big.
  • Not new, but new to me is Cooper Nouveau from House Industries, a revival by Dave West of Oswald Cooper’s original 1966 italic.
  • If you’re asked how you’d like your italics and you answer “very,” then Very Cool Studio’s low contrast, reliable condensed sans-serif Nudge has you covered.
  • I hope Raven Mo will one day release Quanzoid.
